![]() ![]() I believe that you are correct in saying that the motherboard and optical drive are 'paired' somehow. Not sure what that's about, but I figured I'd mention it. One other thing of note, that may be unrelated, is that it seems to take much longer to boot up than it did before. That, and buying a new XBOX One isn't in the budget for a few years, probably, which is why I waited so long to get a 360. I paid $100 for the console, kinect, 6 wireless controllers, and the games, so to spend another $100 getting the optical drive replaced by Microsoft doesn't make sense. The troubleshooting on the XBOX page said that it likely needs service, so I wanted to see if this is something that would make sense. ![]() I have one of those cleaning CDs that has the little brushes, and I used that on it, and it read the audio track on that disc, but both of the two games that I have tried have said that message. I bought a used XBOX 360 S about a year ago, and a few days ago, it started saying 'unrecognized disc' with (as far as I can tell) any game disc I put into it. ![]()
